The character of the interior is based around soft colors and modern classics, reflecting beautifully the atmosphere of the Cote d’Azur. The investors had requested a design that was characteristic of this region. As a result, we created a truly amazing summer residence which sits in harmony with the panoramic view of the coast of Monaco.The main part of the first floor is dominated by a large open living room with well positioned lighting. The common area, in which the family gathers with guests is multifunctional. There are no separate passages between zones, the whole space is open and radiates ease and freedom.We had already worked on existing house from the 70-s and this provided us with a framework from which something modern and beautiful could evolve. Furniture in powder shades from Black Tie and Minnoti, Soft lighting from Ralph Lauren and Moooi emphasizes certain aspects and produces an interesting range of silhouettes.In the kitchen space we worked with low ceilings and thanks to verticals, light tones and carefully considered furniture management, we managed to create a feeling of space. The presence of contrasting accents make the light interior more expressive, and with the furniture from Poliform, it could be described as multifunctional. From the dining zone an entrance leads to a terrace, from where one can admire the sea and swim in the swimming pool.
The private master zone is located on the second floor and designed as a single and private space for two, where the bedroom merges with the bathroom and dressing room. Here playful pastel shades and expressive contrasts prevail.
In the bathroom we wanted to create a continuation of the living area. To achieve this, the flooring was chosen in the same parquet as the bedroom. An independently standing bath gives this space a feeling of romance and relaxation.The guest zone is located on the first floor. This bedroom has a masculine mood, saturated steel coloured walls, black lampshades, in addition to a leather covered bed. The bathroom is decorated with noble marble, making the space visually stunning and quite immaculate.Cream and caramel colors form the basis of the design for the additional bedroom. Here we were inspired by sweet colours from confectionery, cream, marshmallow and berries. When a person has a sweet association and perception of the interior, the room becomes comfortable on a subconscious level. The bedroom can be used as a second guest room, or as a second kids room. In the bathroom the accent is focused towards the sink, which is itself complemented by soft lighting with an onyx finish. This was actually our beautiful client’s idea!
